Job Detail
- Assist machine shop personnel in completion of assigned work.
- Clean up and move production parts throughout the shop.
- Follow writ10and verbal instructions.
- Measure and record values from parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment as needed.
- Perform routine tooling and fixture changes on machines.
- Select and use proper tooling for job based on information supplied.
- Must also be able to translate blueprint for measurement purposes.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, sit and stand for long periods.
- Inspect to print.
- Perform basic math calculations.
- Work within tolerances greater than or equal to +/- 05
- Other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Minimum Job Skill Requirements:
- One to 3years’ machine shop experience or equivalent.
- Must have good communication skills to perform duties as required.
- Possess ability to interpret blueprints for tolerances and geometric callouts.
- Prior inspection of machined parts using micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Education
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- SKILLS ABILITIES
- Computer Skills
- Basic Computer skills are helpful, but not required. On-the-job training will be d1in this area.

Can travel to the Customer or other MIC locations to assist with quality control issues. Will have the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (ANSI Safety Goggles)
