Job Detail
- Direct methods in which parts are to be machined and generate control commands for CNC machinery
- Review job specifications and requirements
- Determine best setup and machine tool utilization based on the complexity of the part, shape, size and quantity
- Determine codes and commands necessary to control cut type, size and feed rates, start points, table, spindle and chuck movements, tool selection
- Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, utilizing experience and knowledge of machine shop procedure, materials and tooling requirements
- Review all drawings and specifications and become familiar with required dimensions and tolerances, operations and setup specifications
- Verify dimensions of finished components and provides markings and reference points as guides for other necessary machining operations
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane
