Job Brief
Drive the coast is growing fast, and we’re looking for a dependable, skilled mechanic who loves classic cars as much as we do.
Salary Detail
$25 – $35 an hour

Job Detail
- Diagnose, repair, and service classic and vintage automobiles (1960s–1990s. carbureted and fuel-injected).
- Perform routine maintenance: brakes, suspension, tune-ups, wiring repairs, fluids, troubleshooting, etc.
- Assist with performance upgrades, restorations, and custom work when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and help keep the shop in order.
- Handle general day-to-day shop tasks (parts pickup, light cleaning, organizing inventory, customer vehicle prep, etc.).
- Communicate clearly with the team and provide honest, accurate updates on repair progress.
- Follow safety protocols and proper use of shop tools.
- Qualifications:
- 5+ years of automotive mechanic experience (classic car experience strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of carbureted systems, vintage wiring, cooling systems, and general classic car quirks.
- Ability to diagnose issues independently and think creatively when working on older vehicles.
- Comfortable working on both older and newer components (fuel injection, ignition systems, basic electronics).
- Reliable, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage tasks without constant supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and safely operate shop equipment.
- Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with restoration, body trim installation, or interior work.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Experience with turbocharged platforms (bonus if familiar with Buick Grand National engines).
- Computer skills for looking up parts and documenting work.
