Job Detail
  • Own specification generation, design, and analysis of civil and structural systems – including foundations, site layouts, and surface facilities for power generation projects
  • Drive first-principles tradeoff analysis across civil, geotechnical, and structural systems to optimize plant constructability, cost, and performance
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, accelerate, and standardize civil designs while maintaining technical excellence and reliability
  • Inform and support procurement efforts relating to civil and structural scopes, including materials, construction methods, and vendor specifications for power plant designs

    Qualifications

  • in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience in civil engineering in large capital projects
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; candidates actively pursuing licensure be considered
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations such as IBC and ASCE
  • Proven track record in managing design packages, specifications, and vendor deliverables
  • Strong knowledge in site development, foundations, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and geotechnical interfaces
  • Strong communication skills; with the ability to clearly convey technical information and collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and external partners

  • Fervo Energy is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location
  • Expected Salary: $92,000 – $180,000 based on California locality and dependent on experience, pay in other locations vary

  • This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at any of the above locations will be required
