Job summary the church groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the outdoor grounds of the church to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Job Detail
- Mow, edge, and trim lawns to maintain a neat appearance using lawn care equipment and hand tools
- Perform landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and grass
- Use power tools and hand tools for trimming trees, shrubs, and other landscaping tasks
- Maintain pathways, sidewalks, and outdoor structures to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing repair or additional care
- Assist with seasonal clean-up activities such as leaf removal when necessary
- Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to outdoor fixtures or equipment
- Skills
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques
- Experience with lawn care, landscaping, and horticulture practices
- Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools for gardening and maintenance tasks
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work and equipment use
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail in maintaining the appearance and safety of outdoor spaces
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions independently or as part of a team
