Job Detail
  • Supervise and coordinate groundskeeping staff responsible for landscaping, lawn care, and general maintenance.
  • Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and system repairs.
  • Perform routine landscape maintenance including trimming, planting, fertilizing, and gardening tasks.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various maintenance activities.
  • Maintain cemetery records related to burials, plots, and memorials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and cemetery policies.
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance of equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools.
  • Assist with special projects related to land expansion or beautification initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and families regarding burial arrangements or inquiries about the grounds.
  • Skills
  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and their repair or troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of groundskeeping or maintenance personnel.
  • Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining the aesthetic quality of the cemetery grounds.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with visitors, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or materials as needed.
