Job Detail
- Diagnose and repair heavy and light construction equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, part installation, and rebuilds
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems using Cat ET
- Install and repair components such as transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, and fuel systems
- Deliver field service support using a company-provided truck (for applicable roles)
- Work independently or with mentorship in a structured shop environment

Requirements
Must own proper tools to perform repairs - High school diploma or GED required
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems
- Working knowledge of transmissions, undercarriage, and track systems
- Experience using Cat ET or other diagnostic software
- Prior earthmoving equipment or military mechanic experience
- Ability to work independently in a shop or field setting
Strongly Preferred Experience
Welding and fabrication: MIG, arc welding, gouging, oxyacetylene torch - Experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motor systems
- Dealer or manufacturer training in construction equipment systems
- Certification or technical school background in diesel mechanics
Heavy Equipment Technician levels and compensation are determined by skill set, knowledge, and experience
