- Why This Role Matters
- The Carpenter will use woodworking skills to build and repair various structures and equipment throughout the facility.
- Key Responsibilities Collaborate with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
- Estimate equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job.
- Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
- Operate all necessary tools to complete a job.
- Provide technical assistance to contractors and project managers.
- Assist in maintaining all worksites (interior and exterior) in an outstanding condition of readiness by accomplishing timely carpentry maintenance.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
- Perform work in renovation, design, and installation of projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
- Excellent verbal and writ10communication skills.
- Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications for projects.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read blueprints and oversee projects. Education Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5(5) years’ experience in commercial and/or residential carpentry.
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend in order to reach all areas of the facility.
- Must be able to work in and on overhead structures, as well as below machinery. Benefits That Support You
