Job Detail
- Measure, cut, fabricate, and install trim, panels, doors, cabinetry, partitions, and other finish carpentry elements according to commercial project specifications.
- Work with a variety of building materials, including specialty woods, composite materials, and fire-rated products common in commercial environments.
- Interpret and execute commercial blueprints, architectural drawings, and project documentation.
- Install architectural woodwork, casework, and custom built-ins in high-traffic and complex commercial settings.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades (electricians, HVAC, drywall, etc.) to maintain efficient construction timelines and resolve on-site challenges.
- Ensure installations meet applicable building codes, ADA standards, fire safety regulations, and client requirements for durability and finish.
- Repair, replace, and upgrade existing woodwork in occupied or operational commercial spaces with minimal disruption.
- Conduct site assessments, prepare take-offs, and participate in pre-installation planning as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. formal training or apprenticeship in carpentry strongly preferred
- Current OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Can safely lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, stairs, and climb out of ditches
- Must wear proper protective equipment at all times
- Physical ability to work in demanding environments and lift heavy materials as required Knowledge and Skills Advanced knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and commercial construction standards
- Excellent troubleshooting, adaptation, and quality control skills for complex, fast-paced projects
- Proficient with hand and power tools
