Position: Carpenter
Company: Thornton Construction Company

Carpenter direct manager: project manager department: field labor direct reports: none the carpenter will perform a variety of tasks to support construction projects, including site preparation, material handling, and general labor.

Career Experience of 18 Years is required

• Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
• Load and unload construction materials
• Assist skilled tradespeople as needed
• Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth
• Build and dismantle scaffolding and other temporary structures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety regulations and wear required protective equipment Qualifications: Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug Test
• Successful Background Investigation
• Need to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and high temperatures
• Need to be physically fit and able to lift more than 50 lbs., frequently bending over when necessary
• Must be able to climb ladders to access a roof (Extension, Fixed, etc.)
