Job Detail
- Lead and supervise all carpentry activities on construction sites, ensuring work is performed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately.
- Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling labor, managing equipment use, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA standards.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools for project scheduling, tracking progress, and managing documentation.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs related to labor, materials, and equipment. assist with construction estimating when needed.
- Supervise subcontractors and construction crews. provide mentorship and performance feedback to foster a productive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with contracts and legal requirements. maintain detailed records of work progress, change orders, safety incidents, and inspections.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when required. review schematics for complex installations or repairs.
- Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular site inspections and in construction site supervision with smanaging teams of skilled tradespeople.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6 or Primavera (Project Scheduling), HeavyBid (Cost Estimating), and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with contracts administration and project documentation processes.
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.
- Strong understanding of heavy civil or pipeline projects is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately. experience with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters is advantageous.
- Excellent management skills to oversee project scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and supervising teams effectively.
- Skilled in using construction site equipment safely. capable of troubleshooting technical issues on-site.
- Effective communicator who can coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining clear documentation of project progress.
