Job Detail
- Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner, including the hands-on work of all building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the asset
- Maintain exterior grounds, including picking up trash and keeping common areas neat, sweeping sidewalks and curbs, watering trees, shrubs and flowerbeds, and snow removal and salting/sanding walkways
- Assisting Maintenance Ambassador in prioritizing all work orders
- Assisting Maintenance Ambassador in scheduling all maintenance for buildings and building equipment
- Ensuring timely and thorough completion of preparing vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, carpet shampooing, and repairs
- Assisting Maintenance Ambassador in maintaining sufficient maintenance supplies
- Performing emergency repairs after hours according to the On-call Maintenance Schedule
- Reporting any and all maintenance and safety concerns to the Maintenance Ambassador in a timely manner
- Utilizing technology to track work performed, including records of any follow-up or additional resources needed
- Other duties as assigned Education Experience: High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic experience in all phases of building maintenance including but not limited to appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to obtain 2-C Boilers within first year of employment if not already licensed
- Preferred Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Reliable personal transportation with an ability to travel to Eagan
- Ability to maintain an appropriate driving record
- Willingness to travel throughout the metro in a shared company vehicle
- Knowledge in the areas of appliance installation and repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and fire/life/safety systems
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and problem solving skills
