Job Detail
  • Fabricate cable assemblies and interconnecting harnesses from detailed engineering drawings and mechanical/electrical diagrams.
  • Crimp and assemble connector contacts, perform high-precision soldering to J-STD standard.
  • Read and interpret aircraft-level wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings for metal fabrication and assemblies.
  • Use test equipment and troubleshoot wiring, isolation faults, signal integrity issues.
  • Work with serial data interfaces: ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488.
  • Install and test fiber-optic cabling supporting reflective memory hardware and associated assemblies.
  • Properly use hand tools and shop equipment (powered/unpowered) in a safe manner: drills, crimpers, strippers, soldering tools.
  • Adhere to ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object debris) practices.

  • 75 pounds and work in confined areas for extended periods.
  • Skills Required
  • Able to crimp, assemble and solder contacts to aircraft standards (J-STD).
  • Skilled in interpreting wiring diagrams (aircraft level) and mechanical drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with test benches, lab infrastructure, wiring and isolation troubleshooting.
  • Experience with serial data interface wiring and installation (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422/232, Ethernet, IEEE-488).
  • Experience in fiber-optic cabling installation for systems such as reflective memory.
  • Familiarity with safe use of hand/shop tools. able to lift up to 75 pounds. comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Education Experience
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant technical/engineering environment experience (military aircraft/systems maintenance background is a plus).
  • Must have ability to attain security clearance (if required) and meet export-controlled technology access rules (ITAR/EAR).
