  • We are seeking an Aerial Lineman to be part of our Outside Plant team
  • This position will be responsible for working with fiber optic and copper cable systems in both new and existing applications


  • Essential Functions

    Work with clients to plan installations as required
  • Install and repair fiber optic and copper cable in a variety of environments
  • Climb up to 50 feet
  • Experienced in bucket truck operation
  • Experienced in the following tasks: new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, lashing, make readies, ‘figure eighting’
  • Record and document testing per customer specifications
  • Perform daily duties in a safe manner
  • Consistently maintain a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers
  • Further industry knowledge on an ongoing basis
  • Uphold quality workmanship surpassing industry standards

    Minimum Qualifications

    Ability to read prints and other engineering documentation
  • 2 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Fiber optic and copper cable industry construction, maintenance, and testing experience
  • Reliable transportation
  • Have and maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Ability and work night/weekends as needed
  • Willingness to work outdoors during extreme heat/cold

    Physical Demands

    This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment
  • The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms
  • Approximately one-third of the time be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening
  • Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required


  • Work Environment

    This role involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions
  • These include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware
  • Employees be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment
