Job title: 1st class blaster/painter location: harvey, la job overview: a 1st class blaster/painter is responsible for the preparation of metal surfaces for painting and will also paint components, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of vessels key responsibilities: can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings.

$24.50 an hour

• Can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings.
• Can troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment and read wet or dry gauges. Qualifications: Four (4) years of marine blasting and painting or 1(1) year of continuous Company experience preferred. Skills and Abilities: Read and interpret paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions.
• Well versed in spraying conventional, airless, or hand paint systems.
• Familiar with Steel Structural Painting Chemical (SSPC) preparation.
