Job Description

Job Detail
  • Operating a diverse fleet of vehicles, including 26′ box trucks with lift gates and Tractor Trailers for both in-state and out-of-state deliveries
  • Safely loading and unloading trucks, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Strictly adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies, ensuring the secure and timely delivery of mail
  • Accurately maintaining all required documentation, including DOT logs and reports, vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs), and delivery receipts
  • Conducting thorough pre-trips en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects to ensure optimal operating condition
  • Effectively communicating, documenting, and reporting any delivery-related changes, issues, or delays to supervisors and dispatch
  • Mandatory reporting of any accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately and accurately, following established company procedures
  • Obtaining appropriate signatures upon product delivery, verifying receipt and completeness
  • Navigating various road conditions and severe weather, always maintaining a high level of safety and control
  • Adhering to all safety policies and procedures without exception, prioritizing personal and public safety
  • Actively participating in and completing all assigned training related to internal policies, procedures, and compliance
  • Performing other assigned tasks as needed to support overall operations

    Requirements

    Education, Licensing and Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by federal and state regulations
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience as a Class A CDL Driver
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record – MVR) with no major violations or accidents within the past 3-5 years
  • Must have a valid DOT Medical Examination Card
  • Must pass all pre-employment and continuous background screening and monitoring including but not limited to (criminal, MVR, random drug and alcohol screenings, active clearinghouse status)

  • Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

    Prolonged periods of sitting while driving, especially in traffic, and extended periods of standing during loading and unloading
  • Ability to handle a significant physical workload, including frequent pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending
  • Must be capable of lifting 30-50 pounds at a time regularly
  • This position requires flexibility, as you must be available to work an extended work week, including nights, weekends and holidays

    Pay rate: $21- $22 ~
