Job Detail
- Perform intermediate and direct support level maintenance for commercial heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
- Provide general and direct support for buses, heavy trucks, industrial forklifts, large generators and heavy-duty trailers
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals for identifying maintenance faults and repairs
- Perform maintenance at maintenance shops and in the field
- Operate recovery vehicles such as car haulers or wreckers
- Operate forklift and tractor
- Work in various weather conditions
- Work weekends and shift work
- Follow all environmental and safety rules
- Other duties as required
Position Requirements
3 years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations
- Must possess a valid La Class D chauffeur’s license or obtain one within the first 90 days of hire to maintain employment
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous maintenance and/or mechanical experience on the MSC
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
