- Support R&D users in EDA software development and IP designs using our compute resources
- Manage at least one US based cluster and meet operations SLA
- Operate and enhance our global compute farm
- Partner with other IT members to create, deploy, and optimize our farm solutions
- Work closely with the InfoSec team to build and maintain environments that comply with high secure standards
- Evaluate new technologies and service offerings that have the potential to improve the experience for the users
The Candidate Must Have
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or) Engineering or equivalent - Experience: Experience working with HPC job scheduling software supporting large scale batch workloads of a technical nature
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Proficient in Python, shell scripting, or other scripting languages
- Experience with C/C is a plus
- SQL based database knowledge
- Hands on experience with building and/or maintaining automation systems such as Chef, Puppet and Ansible
- Knowledge of IBM Spectrum LSF or Slurm
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and developing solutions that integrate with a compute farm
- Great problem solving and debugging skills
- Algorithms and data structure experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong desire to learn more about server farm and EDA software
- Capable of interacting with technical and functional teams and communicating challenges and risks
Nice To Have
Experience with a public cloud provider - Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of EDA software
The annual salary range for California is $82,600 to $153,400 - You also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits
- Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure
