Job Detail
  • Perform calibrations, verifications, and certifications of a wide range of Army medical and logistical TMDE in accordance with established procedures, accuracy requirements, and military/industry standards
  • Apply calibration methods and measurement science to analyze error sources, test accuracy ratios, and uncertainty of results to ensure equipment reliability
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in complex measurement and diagnostic equipment using schematics, block diagrams, technical manuals, and software diagnostics
  • Repair equipment as required
  • Equipment requiring repairs shall be returned with all necessary calibration and Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) actions completed
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices in calibration principles, technical problem-solving, and DoD quality assurance procedures
  • Support the Quality Control program by identifying nonconformities, analyzing data trends, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions
  • Interpret technical data, engineering drawings, and schematics to determine calibration requirements and ensure compliance with Army maintenance standards
  • Inspect TMDE for preventive maintenance, cleanliness, and safety, and document results through authenticated calibration certificates and correction charts
  • Complete all assignments in strict adherence to DoD regulations, technical manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Travel Requirement estimated to 15%

    Qualifications

    Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

    Knowledge of calibration principles, measurement science, and DoD calibration policies
  • Experience with computer-controlled diagnostic and analytical systems
  • Proficiency in the use, handling, and care of calibration and measurement standards
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and calibration management software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills


  • Minimum Qualifications:

    Associate’s degree in electronics engineering technology, calibration technology, or a related technical field
  • Programs are typically offered at community colleges or technical schools and include coursework in circuitry, metrology, and engineering
  • Minimum 2 – 5 years of related calibration or metrology experience ( substitute equivalent military training or experience for degree requirements)


  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Additional technical certifications in calibration or electronics
  • Hands-on experience with TMDE calibration in a military or biomedical environment preferred
  • Experience with calibration software
  • Prior experience supporting Department of Defense or medical logistics contracts
  • Previous customer service or technical support experience
