Job Detail
  • Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance… Wearing the company uniform during all project related duties unless specifically directed otherwise by a superior
  • Accept direction and critiques from Team Members in higher classifications
  • Install intrusion, access control, and surveillance systems in commercial environments
  • Provide basic programming; such as adding sensors, cameras, and readers to existing systems
  • Test, inspect, and perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faulty equipment
  • Support manufacturer warranties, including RMA submissions
  • Conduct walk-throughs, identify areas of concern, ensure a complete project plan, monitor and report progress, and maintain safety standards
  • Assign tasks, manage output, and report results to project manager or team lead as required
  • Maintain and support corporate values, policies and procedures, and safety standards
  • Participate in afterhours on-call rotation schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Notify project manager or team lead of material deficiencies needed to complete scope of work
  • Identify risk to customers, reporting directly to team lead or project manager
  • Maintain client privacy and personal professionalism at all times
  • Monitor inventory of service parts and condition of assigned tools
  • Attend routine meetings and safety briefings
  • Receive continuing education as necessary for licensing
  • Train and support team members with lower classifications
  • Perform additional functions deemed within general skill and ability

    Qualifications

    Must have 5 years of direct industry experience
  • Must have knowledge of UL, NFPA, NEC, and building standards
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of construction and electrical wiring, as well as a strong comprehension of blueprints
  • A demonstrated proficiency in network based systems is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and follow through
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Finger & wrist dexterity & hand/eye coordination
  • Necessary vision to work with small, color coded wiring
  • Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts & roof tops utilizing proper fall protection
  • Ability to use small hand tools
  • Ability to use power tools
  • Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs
  • , and drive a vehicle
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Visio, and Power Point
  • Excellent Customer Service skills


  • Working Conditions

    Job is usually performed indoor environments under controlled environmental conditions
  • Ability to accept periodic assignments that involve travel away from immediate district office area based on client needs, business needs and project scope
  • Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards
  • General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • But ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required
  • Regional travel required
