  • , Fanuc, OTC) into new automation cells
  • Wire and connect robotic systems, sensors, actuators, and safety devices as required
  • Assemble mechanical components, tooling, and basic structures using standard hand tools
  • Perform system power-up, robot jogging, and teach basic positions for operation readiness
  • Collaborate with automation engineers and vendors during system installation and troubleshooting
  • Support system debug and startup activities during new equipment commissioning
  • Ensure system safety compliance and basic functionality prior to handoff
  • Assist in specifying and sourcing components for automation such as sensors, brackets, cables, actuators, safety devices, and cylinders
  • Review product and process setups and suggest simple design or part modifications to improve build or integration efficiency
  • Provide on-site support during launch phases, including minor adjustments and issue resolution
  • Develop documentation of integration processes, maintenance and basic operator guidelines
  • Train plant maintenance staff on basic operation and support of new systems


  • Education And Experience Requirements

    Minimum High School Diploma and/or technical school skills such as Manufacturing Systems and Technology, Industrial Robotics, Digital Electronics and Circuits, or similar
  • 5 years of experience with robotic equipment installation and/or mechanical assembly
  • Understanding industrial wiring, control panels, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with robotic brands such as Fanuc or OTC is preferred


  • Other Skills And Abilities

    Ability to identify and specify common automation components
  • Able to review mechanical and product designs and suggest improvements to aid automation
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and work with basic mechanical tools
  • Willingness to travel for short-term support at different ATW locations
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Work independently on the shop floor to install and start up automated cells with minimal supervision
  • Safety-conscious, organized, and dependable with solid communication skills
  • Position to pay between $40 – $45 an hour based on experience
  • Potential relocation assistance available
  • Position can be based out of Mount Pleasant or Sumner, TX plants
