Job Detail
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, steering systems, brakes, and suspension.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid replacements.
- Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and calibrate systems as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including engine overhauls and component replacements.
- Perform welding and other mechanical repairs to ensure vehicle safety and performance standards are met.
- Maintain detailed service records, document repairs performed, and communicate findings clearly to customers.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance.
- Experience working with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with schematics, automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, and auto estimating software is desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic scanners.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- ASE certification or equivalent automotive certifications are preferred but not required.
