Overview we are seeking a skilled lead equipment operator to join our team.

$45,760 – $54,843 a year

Qualifications
Diploma.

Job Detail
  • Read blueprints and understand grading for road construction and drainage.
  • Operate a wide range of heavy and light equipment (e.g, graders, gradalls, dozers, dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, tractors, mowers, chippers, etc.).
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Support road construction and maintenance using machinery and hand tools.
  • Assist with vegetation control (herbicide spraying) and seasonal snow/ice removal.
  • Provide traffic control/flagging and assist other skilled trades as needed. and
  • Maintain material records and supervise road crews when required.
  • Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • Five years experience in highway maintenance and construction operations.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Airbrake endorsement. Class A is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid DOT physical card.
  • Flagger, Public Agency Roadside Tree Expert, Herbicide Spraying, Sediment and Erosion Control Practices Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to comprehend safety training.
  • Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day for emergency situations.
  • Homeland Security Certifications.
  • CPR First Aid Certification.
  • Fire Extinguisher Certification.
  • Ability to pass drug testing and background check.
