Job Detail
- Lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and electrical codes such as the NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical layouts for commercial and industrial projects.
- Oversee the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of work while maintaining high safety standards.
- Train and mentor journeymen electricians. assign tasks effectively to optimize team productivity.
- Conduct inspections for renovation projects and new construction sites to ensure compliance with local codes and industry best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, test results, schematics updates, and safety records.
- Requirements
- Valid Master Electrician license with extensive experience in industrial electrician roles. commercial electrician experience is valued.
- Proven expertise in electrical systems installation within industrial construction environments. experience on large-scale projects is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code), schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, power tools, hand tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing devices.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints accurately and translate designs into real-world installations on construction sites.
- Experience working with construction teams on-site in fast-paced environments. familiarity with safety protocols related to high voltage systems is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues during installation or maintenance phases.
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by various project sites. physical stamina for long shifts on active construction locations.
