Job Detail
- Maintain and grow an existing customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with decision makers at natural gas companies, contractors, and municipalities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company goals.
- Present products in a consultative, solutions-driven manner to meet customer needs.
- Manage the full sales pipeline using EGW’s CRM system (Activities, Opportunities, Quotes, Contacts).
- Schedule and conduct customer appointments, training sessions, and product demonstrations.
- Represent EGW at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends that could impact customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Operations to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze territory markets, track competitor activity, and prepare regular reports for leadership.
- Support new product launches and ensure customer adoption.
- If applicable, manage remote inventory in a storage facility or assigned company vehicle.
- Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the natural gas, utility, or construction industries.
- Experience selling to contractors, utilities, or municipalities strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Comfortable with up to 50% travel (approx. 8–12 overnights per month).
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
