Job Detail
- Troubleshoot unscheduled maintenance and equipment failures. Perform root cause analysis and take actions to improve equipment and processes.
- Contributes to the implementation of various manufacturing improvements including 5S, Lean, etc.
- Manage large capital projects up to $1M and large equipment installations.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends in equipment and performance.
- Create maintenance procedures and policies for new equipment.
- Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs and evaluating equipment.
- Optimize equipment uptime, reliability and efficiency.
- Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs. applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials. conferring with equipment vendors and. soliciting observations from operators.
- Evaluates maintenance programs (preventive, predictive, TPM FMEA) ensuring minimal equipment downtime by analyzing maintenance processes and recommending preventative maintenance programs, as well as drive process improvements.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Tests newly installed equipment/machinery ensuring vendor fulfillment of contract specifications.
- Create maintenance procedures and policies. Develop and administer training programs for maintenance techs.
- Interface with operations and engineering personnel to improve product quality, compliance, safety, reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (B. S.) with 8 years of experience. or a HS Diploma or equivalent with equivalent years of experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing plant maintenance role is preferred.
- PLC experience required.
- AutoCAD, CMMS, ERP, Microsoft applications, Database software knowledge and experience required.
- Demonstrated experience implementing various manufacturing improvements including 5S, TPM, SMED and Lean principles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Excellent written, verbal and customer service skills required.
