Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering OR IT technical field~ Knowledge of complex electronic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems related to the assigned complex medical system, In-depth knowledge of engineering theory and principles related to the assigned complex medical system~ ~ ~ Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Radiological Service Institute Training (RSTI) equivalent certification.
Job Detail
- Analyze system failures of medical imaging systems and perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer protocol within time standards set by service level agreements.
- Perform preventive maintenance on complex medical systems and develop preventive maintenance procedures based on site specific requirements incorporating usage and other performance metrics.
- Perform incoming inspections of new equipment and complete documentation for CMMS database.
- Act as an enterprise resource providing technical expertise on the assigned imaging equipment.
- Provide on-the-job cross training to fellow technicians for devices they are trained on.
- Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology
- Two years of CCF Clinical Engineering Tech II experience or 4years outside experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment OR 2 years of specialty work experience servicing of general radiology equipment, X-ray generating equipment, interventional radiology, ultrasound equipment, portable/fixed x-ray rooms, mammography equipment or other similar complex medical systems
- Equivalent specialized OR military training may substitute for the degree.
- OR High School diploma/GED and 4years of CC Clinical Engineering Tech experience OR 6years outside experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment OR equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field and successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) OR Radiological Service Institute Training (RSTI) equivalent certification
