Job Detail
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Learn to operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and welding techniques to join metal parts accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Perform machining tasks including pipe threading, drilling, and using calipers or micrometers for precise measurements
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
- Follow safety procedures related to construction site work, welding operations, and machinery use
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures
- Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with standards applicable to metal fabrication projects
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
- Experience working with sheet metal components and fabricating structural or mechanical parts
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling
