Cnc lathe operator location: davenport, ia | on-site industry: job-shop manufacturing schedule: 1st shift | monday–friday | 6:00 am – 2:30 pm our client is a locally owned manufacturer known for producing high-precision, custom-machined components for demanding industries.

$20 – $30 an hour

• What You’ll Do Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes (preferably Mazak) to produce precision components.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to ensure accurate machining.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to meet production timelines.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area in accordance with company safety standards.
• What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. technical certification in machining preferred.
• 2+ years of CNC lathe experience (Mazak experience highly preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specs and tolerances.
• Comfortable using a range of precision measurement tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Physical Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead cranes as needed.
• Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Shop environment includes moderate noise and temperature control.
• PPE required: Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
• Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
