$28 – $35 an hour

Job Background of 20 Years+ is required

Master’s degree in relevant field is required

• Set up and operate manual and CNC grinders for precision ID/OD, face, form, multi‑axis, and flat surface grinding.
• Program CNC grinding equipment at the machine when needed.
• Select and apply diamond and other super‑abrasive wheels. recognize and address wheel wear.
• Plan workholding and cutting parameters from blueprints and layouts. execute plunge, traverse, angle, and form operations.
• Use precision metrology to verify features to 001″.
• Apply trigonometry, geometry, and shop math to calculate positions and angles to meet print specs.
• Understand and implement sound machine setup principles. run multiple machines concurrently.
• Maintain a clean machine and work area and actively improve processes to reduce setup and run times. Materials and methods you’ll master
• From aluminum, mild and stainless steels, to hardened tool steels, tungs10carbide, and other ultra‑hard alloys—you’ll adapt wheel selection, speeds, feeds, and dressing strategies to each application.
• Physical aspects of the role Standing for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day).
• Operate overhead cranes. when choosing to lift by hand, follow proper techniques and use aids or seek help as appropriate.
• Strong hand–eye coordination and routine use of hand tools, files, sanders, and grinders. What you bring Experience setting up and operating precision grinding equipment (manual and CNC).
• Comfort with wheel dressing (straight, angle, and form) and rotary dressers.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection to 001″.
• Working knowledge of trigonometry/geometry and multi‑axis grinding.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Shifts Day Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, overtime as needed
• Night Shift (with premium): 6:00 PM–2:30 AM, overtime as needed Compensation approach
