Diploma in releted field is required

• Operate and maintain circular saws and other cutting equipment used in the production of paper tubes.
• Measure and cut paper tubes to exact lengths according to work orders and customer specifications.
• Perform quality checks on finished cuts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, or cut lists.
• Monitor saw performance and adjust settings for optimal operation.
• Ensure proper labeling and bundling of cut tubes for the next production step or shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with basic machine maintenance and report mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating a lathe, or mill.
• Experience reading blue prints, using micrometers, calipers, wrenches and other measuring devices.
• Prior experience operating saws or machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to measure accurately using tape measures or calipers.
• Math, converting fractions and mechanical skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [50 lbs / appropriate weight].
• Excellent workplace safety practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Work Environment:
• Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and dust.
• Must wear safety gear including gloves, goggles, and hearing protection.
• Shift work may be required (currently only 1st shift)
