Job Detail
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sandblast, or otherwise prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring they are free of dirt, rust, and debris.
- Painting: Application primers, base coats, and topcoats using HVLP spray systems to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity, thickness, and adherence to specifications, and make adjustments as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment, including HVLP sprayers, and ensure proper storage and functionality.
- Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA safety guidelines, wear appropriate PPE (such as respirators), and handle paints and chemicals according to company and regulatory standards.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.

- Qualifications and Skills Experience: Minimum of 2 years of industrial painting experience, specifically with HVLP spray systems.
- Problem-solving and trouble shooting skills. Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with different types of paints and coatings (e.g, epoxy, polyurethane, enamel).
- Knowledge of paint mixing, viscosity, and application techniques, ratios—knowledge of P-mixes is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching. Safety Awareness:
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling and storage.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or certifications in industrial painting or coatings application preferred. Preferred Qualifications Certification in HVLP spray system operation.
- Experience with sandblasting or other surface preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to paint disposal and VOC emissions. Company Summary
