Job Detail
  • Restore and fabricate turbine/generator features through high-quality TIG welds. perform MIG and stick work as needed.
  • Disassemble, document, and reassemble components to specification, guided by blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Use precision measurement equipment to verify tolerances and validate repairs.
  • Prepare and blend surfaces via media blasting, deburring, and finishing methods.
  • Partner with job site managers to sequence tasks, mitigate risk, and drive progress.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move parts safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a spotless, compliant workspace aligned with ARMS and customer EHS expectations.
  • Pitch in across the shop when priorities shift. What sets you up for success At least 1 year of relevant welding/repair experience preferred. background in power generation is advantageous.
  • Proficiency setting up welding equipment and executing low-distortion welds on delicate parts.
  • Fluency reading/interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Mechanical capability, foresight to anticipate changes, and strong organizational habits.
  • Effective writ10and verbal communication.
  • Comfort working on your feet with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Willingness to work significant mandatory overtime during peak cycles.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10) preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. Skills and proficiencies Field measurements and production welding setups.
  • Forklift operation (license/certification preferred) and crane use.
  • Deburring and precision surface preparation. Tools of the trade TIG, MIG, and Stick welding equipment.
  • Precision measuring instruments and media blasting systems.
  • Material handling equipment including forklifts and cranes. Compliance Ability to pass drug test and background check.
