$23.88 – $28.75 an hour

Job Detail
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair diesel engines, generators, and heavy equipment as needed
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools effectively
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks when applicable
- Assist customers with technical questions and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Keep detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably with dealership or equipment repair background
- Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, diesel engines, electrical systems, and automotive repair
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
- Experience with heavy lifting and the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Prior experience in sales or providing technical advice is advantageous
- High school diploma or equivalent. relevant certifications or technical training preferred
