  • 5+ years experience in diesel mechanics/technology, and 2years management experience. or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Ability to operate all tools and equipment associated with a diesel engine shop, trucks, tractors, trailers
  • Valid commercial driver’s license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with truck maintenance terms and processes

  • Develop and upgrade fleet information system
  • Obtain permits and licenses. maintain records of permits and licenses
  • Maintain inventory of repair parts and equipment. requisition replacement stock
  • Purchase parts for maintenance department
  • Prepare fuel inventory and reports
  • Prepare repair reports and vehicle requests
  • Review life cycle costing reports
  • Maintain and evaluate tires
  • Recommend capital purchase of new equipment
  • Select vendors
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties. complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
  • Travel to offsite locations to support business needs
