Job Detail
- Inspect, service, and repair a wide range of rental equipment (small engines, lawn and garden tools, compact construction equipment, trailers, etc.)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems accurately and efficiently
- Perform scheduled maintenance and safety checks on all equipment
- Maintain accurate service records and inventory of parts and supplies
- Assist customers with basic equipment operation questions when needed
- Load and unload equipment, perform pre- and post-rental inspections
- Keep the shop and yard organized, clean, and safe
- Occasionally assist with deliveries, pickups, or other rental operations as needed
- Qualifications
- Mechanical experience required — small engine, automotive, diesel, or equipment repair experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
- Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in an equipment rental, landscaping, construction, or related industry
- Familiarity with brands such as Stihl, Honda, Toro, Bobcat, or similar
