Job Brief
Job summary: the glazier foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of glaziers and glass installation crews on commercial and/or residential construction projects.

Job Detail
  • Lead and supervise glazing crews on job sites.
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Plan and delegate daily tasks based on project requirements.
  • Install glass, mirrors, aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, and other glazing systems.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, and project managers to maintain project timelines.
  • Inspect and verify quality and accuracy of installations.
  • Maintain proper inventory and order materials as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate glazing crew members.
  • Address and resolve on-site issues or delays promptly.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and documentation.
  • Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial/residential glazing.
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of glass types, installation methods, and glazing systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs, work at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must read, speak, and write in English.
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • OSHA 30 Certification- Required
  • Forklift and Aerial Lift Certification
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Job sites may be outdoors or indoors, depending on project type.
  • May involve working on scaffolds, ladders, and aerial lifts.
  • Work hours may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends depending on project demands.
  • May require Travel.
