Job Detail
- Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Inspect every vehicle as it enters the refinish area to ensure that it has passed all previous inspections and standards. Read the entire work order thoroughly and visually inspect the vehicle to check that all the repairs listed are complete. Give extra attention to any special promises or notes, and if any discrepancies are found notify the appropriate person immediately.
- Apply prepared areas with specified primers or finish coatings.
- Remove grease, dirt or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for refinish application, using abrasives and solvents.
- Apply primer over any repairs made to vehicle surfaces.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
- Sand vehicle between coats of paint or primer to remove flaws and enhance adhesion for subsequent coats.
- Buff and wax the finished paintwork.
- Priming, edging, sanding, and masking a vehicle prior to refinish process.
- Knowledge and understanding of booth operation and maintenance.
- Other duties may be assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
