Job Detail
- Assist senior technicians with installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and equipment cleaning to ensure optimal operation.
- Support service technicians during field service calls by preparing tools and parts needed for repairs or installations.
- Conduct basic electrical testing using tools like ohmmeters to diagnose system issues accurately.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting and leak detection.
- Support welding and mechanical repairs on HVAC equipment when necessary.
- Help maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and system performance logs.
- Participate in safety protocols including proper handling of refrigerants like ammonia refrigeration and adherence to environmental regulations.
- Contribute to property maintenance tasks that support overall building comfort and safety standards.
- Skills
- Basic understanding of construction principles related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
- Experience or familiarity with service technician roles within HVAC or mechanical fields.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents effectively.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in equipment repair, welding, plumbing, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting complex systems on-site.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate a <.PERSON>. driver or similar vehicle safely for transportation between job sites.
- Experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Refrigeration) systems is highly desirable.
