HouseSmart Construction Mason and Laborers / Tenders
The Mason, laborer/tender works to safely assist the Crew Chief and team on the job site. This role is an essential part of a home’s installation process and is responsible for owning numerous construction tasks independently.
Specific Duties:
Work as a safety-focused team player by helping the Crew Chief and team daily with the construction, site-preparation, and installation of block foundation walls.
Mixes cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment and or hand tools.
Cuts or brakes block using hammers, powered saws or hand tools.
Lays block following instructions and/or plans.
Work with the team to help keep the job site clean and free of debris.
Safely operate specialty heavy equipment, under the direction and supervision of leadership.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work in all outdoor conditions (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow) while leading and motivating teams.
Previous construction-related experience a plus which could be residential or commercial.
Excellent driving record; CDL or additional driving certifications a plus.
Safety certifications (OSHA certifications, First Aid, CPR, etc.) a plus.
You enjoy training and enforcing a positive, high paced environment within your team.
Can safely lift up to 50 lbs. independently. Can safely assist with lifting and moving 100+lbs.
Committed to a high level of customer satisfaction and takes pride in your work.
Able to stand, stoop, push, pull, bend and climb consistently throughout a workday.
