Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Awning and Canopy Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality awnings and canopies that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring each installation is precise, durable, and visually appealing. Responsibilities
Measure, mark, and prepare sites for awning and canopy installation according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently during installation processes.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate placement and alignment of structures.
Install framing components such as steel or aluminum supports using carpentry, roofing, or masonry techniques as needed.
Secure awnings and canopies to building structures with appropriate hardware, caulking, trim carpentry, or welding techniques.
Conduct site inspections during installation to verify structural integrity, safety compliance, and aesthetic quality.
Collaborate with project managers, construction management teams, and other trades such as electrical or plumbing crews to coordinate work sequences.
Perform finishing tasks including sealing (caulking), trimming (trim carpentry), painting (construction painting), or restoration work to ensure a polished final appearance.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Document progress through reports or photographs as required for project records.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on awning or canopy installation preferred.
Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
Proficient with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation when necessary.
Knowledge of construction management principles including safety standards and quality control procedures.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques involving metalworking or aluminum framing is a plus.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders/scaffolding, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
