Lead Carpenter

We are a small construction company seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Residential Remodeler to take charge of high-quality home renovation projects. This hands-on leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of residential remodeling, from demolition to fine finish work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute all phases of residential remodeling projects including demo, framing, trim, cabinetry, flooring, doors, windows, and finish carpentry.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure all work meets design intent and building codes.
Perform layout, measuring, cutting, fitting, and installation of materials to precise specifications.
Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively and professionally.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
Qualifications
4-7 years of residential carpentry and remodeling experience, including 2+ years in a lead role.
Strong knowledge of home construction methods, building codes, and finish standards.
Skilled in rough and finish carpentry, door/window installation, cabinetry, trim, tile, and flooring work.
Electrical knowledge and plumbing skills are highly preferred.
Ability to plan daily work activities, sequence tasks, and keep projects on schedule.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Carry own workers compensation and liability insurance
Own truck and basic tools
Be able to tow trailers, pickup and deliver materials
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
