FOOD SERVER ASSISTANT- CARPENTER HALL

Summary
The Role
Reporting to the F&B General Manager the Server Assistant will assist food service employees in delivering food to tables, maintain cleanliness and attend to needs behind the bar, clean tables, carry dirty dishes, replace soiled table linens; setting tables; replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes; and serve water, appetizers and coffee to patrons.
Responsibilities will include:
Adhere to dress code policies during shift
Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties in order to facilitate customer service
Ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns and inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measure when necessary
Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
Ensure sure that beverage and ice dispensers, cabinets, serving areas are stocked
Replenish supplies of food and equipment at service bars/satellite service stations
Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer, and replace empty beer keg
Set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies
Scrape and stack dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
Clean tables, counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas and other areas of restaurants, and mop and vacuum floors
Wash glasses and other serving equipment at bars
Clean up spilled food, drink and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash
Serve ice water, coffee, and standard appetizers (i.e. bread/butter or chips/salsa) to patrons
Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
Attend relevant meetings
Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
Qualifications
Experience Required
Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
