Job Detail
- Supervise and coordinate groundskeeping staff responsible for landscaping, lawn care, and general maintenance.
- Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and system repairs.
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including trimming, planting, fertilizing, and gardening tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various maintenance activities.
- Maintain cemetery records related to burials, plots, and memorials.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and cemetery policies.
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance of equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools.
- Assist with special projects related to land expansion or beautification initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and families regarding burial arrangements or inquiries about the grounds.
- Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their repair or troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of groundskeeping or maintenance personnel.
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail in maintaining the aesthetic quality of the cemetery grounds.
- Good communication skills for interacting with visitors, staff, and vendors.
