Job Brief
Classic flooring solutions is seeking a reliable flooring installer & refinisher with about 2–3 years of experience.
Salary Detail
$18 – $25 an hour

Job Detail
- Help with site checks (moisture testing, subfloor inspection, basic job-site prep)
- Install hardwood floors including solid, engineered, and prefinished products
- Take accurate measurements and help figure out material needs
- Install underlayment, vapor barriers, and prep subfloors
- Handle standard installation patterns (straight lay, diagonal, simple borders)
- Install transitions, trim, and finish work cleanly
- Refinishing
- Prep floors and job sites for sanding and finishing
- Run sanding equipment (drum sander, edger, buffer) safely and effectively
- Do edge sanding, detail sanding, and surface prep
- Apply stains, sealers, and finishes
- Assist with repairs like board replacements
- General Duties
- Keep tools clean and in working order
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
- Fill out basic project notes and material logs
- Communicate clearly with customers when needed
- Work well with senior installers and the rest of the crew
- Must be able to drive to the job site each day (reliable transportation required)
- What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of hands-on hardwood installation and/or refinishing experience
- Comfort using sanders, nailers, saws, and standard flooring tools
- Basic understanding of wood species, moisture, and job-site conditions
- Ability to follow layouts, take measurements, and problem-solve on the job
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn more advanced skills
- Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Comfortable kneeling, bending, standing, and doing physical work all day
- Able to work in various job-site conditions
- Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable daily transportation to and from job sites
- Good communication and customer interaction skills
- Ability to work occasional weekends if needed
