Job Detail
  • Supervise and lead the paint team, assigning daily tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to build a skilled and efficient paint department.
  • Oversee surface preparation, mixing, and application of coatings including epoxy, zinc, and other high-performance systems.
  • Operate and maintain airless spray equipment and related tools.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
  • Track and report on paint usage and inventory needs. notify management of supply requirements.
  • Maintain and enforce safety standards, including PPE usage and OSHA compliance.
  • Coordinate with production leadership to plan and prioritize work schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process, equipment, or training improvements.
  • Cross-train in other departments as needed to support overall production goals.
  • Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial painting experience (2-part epoxy, zinc coatings, or other high-performance coatings).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage people and processes.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Self-sufficient, motivated, and committed to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Willingness to work outside of scheduled hours when needed. Preferred: 5+ years of industrial painting experience.
  • NACE or SSPC certifications highly desired.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience.
  • Role Details Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time
  • Overtime: As needed
  • Employment Type: Non-exempt, hourly
  • Benefits: Eligible after 90 days (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and paid holidays)
  • Work Environment: Industrial fabrication facility with exposure to paint fumes, loud noise, and heavy machinery. PPE is provided and required.
