Job Detail
- Painting and Coating: Prepare, prime, and paint stock trailers, flatbed trailers, truck beds, and other machinery or equipment using multi-part paint systems.
- Paint Mixing: Accurately mix paints, including multi-part paints, to achieve the desired color and finish.
- Surface Preparation: Sand, clean, and mask surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finish.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain spray guns, compressors, and other painting equipment to ensure safety and quality.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for paint thickness, uniformity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Safety Standards: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper ventilation, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling.
- Inventory Management: Track paint and materials inventory, ensuring timely ordering to prevent shortages.
- Collaborative Work: Communicate with team members to ensure project timelines are met and finished products meet customer specifications.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive or equipment painting, including multi-part paint systems.
- Ability to mix, match, and adjust paints to achieve the desired finish and color.
- Familiarity with painting tools, equipment, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including sanding and masking.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with various equipment finishes, including corrosion-resistant coatings.
- Familiarity with repair and touch-up techniques.
