- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Execute painting tasks using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools to achieve smooth, even coats.
- Apply a variety of paints, stains, sealers, and finishes on interior and exterior surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, measurements, and color schemes based on color theory principles.
- Perform surface repairs including drywall patching, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed for renovation projects.
- Conduct restoration work by stripping old paint and preparing surfaces for new coatings in historic or damaged structures.
- Install fixtures such as moldings, trims, baseboards, and other architectural details with precision.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements accurately and ensure efficient material usage.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to construction site experience including welding and handling hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with team members such as carpenters or maintenance person specialists to coordinate tasks seamlessly on complex projects.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality throughout every phase of work.
- ExperienceCandidates should possess prior hands-on experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of both residential and commercial applications. Experience reading blueprints or schematics is essential for precise project execution. Familiarity with construction estimating processes helps in planning tasks efficiently. A background in related trades such as carpentry (including trim and frame carpentry), masonry, plastering, or restoration is highly valued. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools—including airless sprayers—is required to deliver professional results consistently.
