Job Detail
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper consistency and placement.
- Install rebar reinforcement to strengthen concrete structures according to specifications.
- Construct walls, facades, patios, driveways, and other hardscape features with precision and attention to detail.
- Apply stucco, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry techniques to enhance building finishes.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting large materials or preparing site foundations.
- Install metal stud framing and perform tile laying for interior finishing projects.
- Read schematics and blueprints to determine project requirements and sequence of work.
- Assist in construction estimating by assessing material needs and project scope.
- Perform restoration work on existing structures, including masonry repairs and surface refinishing.
- Use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers, levels, and saws efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
- Skills
- Extensive experience with concrete forming techniques and finishing methods.
- Proficiency in construction estimating processes for material quantities and project timelines.
- Skilled in rebar installation for reinforced concrete structures.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape construction including patios, walkways, retaining walls, etc.
- Expertise in concrete finishing techniques to achieve smooth surfaces or textured effects.
- Comfortable using a wide range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Solid understanding of construction site safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry metal stud framing.
- Familiarity with roofing installation processes when required for renovation projects.
- Capable of operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators when necessary.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for structural repairs or custom features.
- Ability to interpret schematics for complex masonry layouts or restoration plans.
