Job Brief
Are you an experienced and dedicated hvac repair technician with a knack for sales? do you thrive on solving problems and delivering “red carpet” service to customers? after 95 years of business, d&f is finally expanding to offer heating and cooling solutions – and we’re looking for someone like you to join our team! in this customer-facing role, you’ll have the chance to use your technical expertise to confidently troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling systems and associated equipment.
Salary Detail
$40 – $46 an hour

Job Detail
- Inspect and test HVAC systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
- Provide installation, maintenance and repairs for all aspects of residential HVAC systems and fixtures
- Educate customers on their HVAC system and offer a range of solutions and pricing options to keep projects within the customers’ budget
- Cross-selling and upselling solutions for related residential HVAC items
- Explain the features and benefits of each solution
- Obtain agreements for services before performing work
- Handle customer questions and project success with callbacks and clear communication
- Take careful notes, photos and project descriptions within the customers’ profile
- Collect, record and take payments with accuracy
- Use the company software (Service Titan) for all customer interactions, payments and job information (training provided)
- Stock service truck with adequate parts and materials weekly
- Transport materials and tools to the job site and maintain proper inventory of tools, materials, equipment, etc.
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management
- Maintain a safe and clean job site with respect to customers’ property
- Handle materials, tools and equipment properly and store them correctly
- Responsibly maintain equipment, tools and company vehicles – keep in clean and good working condition Physical Requirements Works in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) at least 70% of the time.
- Climbs ladders and steep stairs. Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching. Of10works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawl spaces.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).
- Occasionally works from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
- Carries 24 ft extension ladder al1and/or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow-coworker on most jobs.
- Have good visual acuity Skills Qualifications EPA Certified required
- Complete Total Tech or other HVAC training school
- Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing diverse HVAC service issues for homes
- Background check required
- Highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through
- Excellent customer service, sales and listening skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Confident using a tablet and smartphone
- Experience with Service Titan a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High School diploma or GED equivalent Job Type: Full-time
